Two Male Drivers Killed in Car Collision on SH 103
ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (November 7, 2023) – On Thursday afternoon, a crash on SH 103 involving multiple vehicles left Quinnon Gardner and Rolando Reyes deceased.
The fatal incident happened around 5 p.m. on October 26th, at State Highway 103.
According to Texas DPS, a Ford Flex heading east and a 2009 Chevrolet pickup with a trailer heading west collided with each other when the Ford veered off to westbound lanes. Ford hit the Chevrolet head-on which caused its trailer to be disconnected. Then the trailer struck a 2012 Chevrolet pickup going west.
Authorities released their identities, the Ford Flex driver as 44-year-old Quinnon Gardner, the 2009 Chevrolet driver as 36-year-old Rolando Reyes, and the 2012 Chevrolet driver as 42-year-old Brian Massey.
Gardner and Reyes died immediately on the spot while Massey and his passenger were unharmed.
Furthermore, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the highway has since been reopened.
An active investigation is underway. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
