Male Driver Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig Collision near 250th Street West

LANCASTER, CA (November 7, 2023) – Friday night, one male driver was fatally injured in a head-on big-rig accident on Highway 138.

Dispatchers received calls on the westbound lanes of the freeway, just east of 250th Street West around 9:07 p.m.

According to CHP, the driver of a 2018 Honda Civic drifted across the center yellow lines while traveling east for unknown reasons. The car collided head-on with an oncoming 2023 Kenworth T680.

Upon impact, the Honda driver was ejected from the vehicle onto the road. Responding medical personnel declared the Civic driver dead at the scene.

At this time, the identity of the deceased victim remains undisclosed to the public. Officials are asking anyone with additional information about the fatal Highway 138 two-vehicle crash to contact their offices.
