69-Year-Old Woman Killed in Bicycle Accident on 19th Street [Santa Monica, CA]
Female Cyclist Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Crash near Idaho Avenue
SANTA MONICA, CA (November 7, 2023) – Friday morning, one woman was fatally struck in a bicycle accident on 19th Street.
Police responded to the scene around 8:42 a.m., near Idaho Avenue on October 27th.
Per reports, the driver of a southbound vehicle broadsided a westbound bicyclist for reasons unknown.
Paramedics arrived and discovered the 69-year-old female victim with life-threatening injuries. As a result, crews immediately took her to a hospital where she was eventually taken off of life-support.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations.
