A Bicycle Rider Killed in Collision on Wardlow Road

LONG BEACH, CA (November 6, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a car crash on Pacific Place near Wardlow Road left a bicyclist dead.

The accident happened around 3:15 p.m. on October 28th, on Pacific Place north of Wardlow Road.

According to the police, a 2021 Jeep Gladiator going northbound failed to avoid the bicyclist crossing eastbound. The bicyclist crashed into the side of the Jeep.

The 43-year-old Jeep driver attempted to perform life-saving measures and treatment for the bicyclist until emergency responders arrived and transported the victim to a hospital. Unfortunately, the bicyclist succumbed to his injuries.

Furthermore, the driver stayed at the scene and assisted in the investigation. No files were charged as of this moment. Police encouraged people with information to contact them at 562-570-7355.
