Car Collision on Lake Street Left One Motor Rider Dead

VENICE, CA (November 6, 2023) – On Friday evening, an 81-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash on Lincoln Boulevard near Lake Street.

The incident happened around 10:55 p.m. on October 27th, at Lincoln Boulevard and Lake Street.

According to LAPD, a motor rider, around his early to mid-30s, going south when he collided with the passenger side of a vehicle heading westbound, driven by an 81-year-old man.

Medical responders declared the motor rider dead on the spot. The car driver declined to be transported to a hospital but stayed to cooperate with the police investigation.

Furthermore, authorities shut down a portion of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the street has since been reopened to the public.

Additionally, the corner’s office identified the deceased as William Evans-Phelps.
