Woman Dead, Man Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident near West Valencia Road

TUCSON, AZ (November 3, 2023) – On Sunday evening, police responded to a fatal pedestrian crash on West Valencia Road.

The incident occurred just before 7:00 p.m., October 22nd, involving a silver 2011 GMC Canyon and two pedestrians, a male and a female.

Upon investigation, the officers learned that the pedestrians were running across Valencia Road when the GMC headed westbound struck them.

Furthermore, the man sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries and she was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the driver of the GMC immediately stopped and called for the authorities. He cooperated with the investigators, the police added.

Moreover, the authorities evaluated the driver and he showed no signs of impairment. Further investigation is still being conducted at this time.
