One Killed, Three Hospitalized after Head-On Collision on West Salome Highway [Buckeye, AZ]
Woman Pronounced Dead after Head-On Accident near US Highway 80
BUCKEYE, AZ (November 3, 2023) – Late Friday morning, a head-on collision on West Salome Highway killed one woman and left three hospitalized.
The incident happened on October 27th around 11:30 p.m. along the intersection of U.S. Highway 80 and West Salome Highway.
Furthermore, the MCSO deputies responded to the scene where they found two vehicles colliding head-on. A woman driving one of the vehicles unfortunately died on the scene and three other people suffered injuries.
Consequently, responding emergency personnel transported all injured occupants to the hospital with serious injuries.
At this time, the identity of the woman was not yet released by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
Moreover, the investigators excluded impairment as a factor in the incident, and they are still determining if speed played a role.
Meanwhile, the authorities blocked the intersection while they conducted clearing duties. An active investigation is still ongoing.
