Male Pedestrian Hospitalized after Collision near Interstate 15

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 20, 2023) – Monday morning, Jason Austin sustained fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident on Charleston Boulevard.

Police responded to the scene around 1:30 a.m., just west of Commerce Street on October 16th.

Per reports, a male pedestrian attempted to cross Charleston Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk. There, the driver of a westbound 2005 Honda Accord struck the man.

Due to the impact of the crash, the man suffered life-threatening injures. Paramedics transported the male pedestrian to UMC in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. During preliminary investigations, the driver showed no signs of impairment.
