One Pronounced Dead after Fiery Collision near Mile Marker 56
EL PASO, TX (November 2, 2023) – Sunday night, one driver sustained fatal injuries in a wrong-way accident on Interstate 10.
The accident happened around 11 p.m. on October 22nd, at Interstate 10 near mile marker 56.
According to the authorities, someone reported a car going the wrong way on the westbound lanes. Shortly after, it is said that the reported car collided with a tractor-trailer head-on. The car also caught on fire after the crash as a result of the impact.
The driver going the wrong way lost his life on the spot while the occupants of the tractor-trailer sustained minor wounds.
Consequently, authorities shut down a large portion of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the Interstate has since been reopened.
