One Pronounced Dead following Pedestrian Crash on 101 Freeway [Hollywood, CA]
Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on Santa Monica Boulevard
HOLLYWOOD, CA (November 2, 2023) – Early Monday morning, a car crash on 101 Freeway killed an unidentified pedestrian.
The accident occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m. on October 30th, at southbound 101 Freeway near Santa Monica Boulevard.
According to CHP officials, they responded to a report of a person being hit by one or more cars. The victim suffered serious injuries and died on the spot.
Furthermore, police closed several lanes for a few hours and advised motorists to expect delays and to avoid the area if possible. Around 9 a.m., the lanes were opened.
As of now, the identity of the person and the cause of the crash are unknown. However, an active investigation into the deadly crash on 101 Freeway is still underway.
