Man Dies in Sedan vs Pickup-Truck Collision on Interstate 35 [Austin, TX]
Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Accident near Ben White Boulevard
AUSTIN, TX (November 1, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, an unidentified man lost his life following a two-car collision on Interstate 35.
The incident occurred at about 1:40 p.m. on October 15th, on the I-35 near Ben White Boulevard.
Austin Police Department responded to a report involving a crash between a sedan and a pick-up truck. The driver of the sedan was hit when he left his vehicle.
He was found under the vehicle and pronounced dead on the spot. Meanwhile, the pick-up driver did not sustain injuries and remained on the scene to cooperate with the investigation.
Furthermore, a large portion of the interstate was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since been reopened.
Authorities withheld the victim’s identity until his or her next of kin were notified.
