18-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Arby Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (November 1, 2023) – Isaiah Tecpa died early Friday morning, in a DUI pedestrian crash on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 1:00 a.m., just north of Arby Avenue and south of Harry Reid International Airport on October 20th.

Per reports, 37-year-old Christopher Thompson was driving a southbound 2011 Dodge Durango and struck Tecpa who was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk.

First responders located Teca on the ground in critical condition. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 18-year-old Tecpa, from La Puente, California dead at the scene.

During cleanup and preliminary duties, Thompson, of Las Vegas was evaluated and was determined to be impaired. As a result, officers arrested and booked him into the Clark County Detention Center.
