64-Year-Old Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Collision near Whispering Wood Lane

PERRIS, CA (October 31, 2023) – Saturday evening, Jamie Beman was killed in a hit-and-run collision on Evans Road.

The incident occurred around 6:44 p.m., at the intersection of Evans Road and Whispering Wood Lane. 

Per reports, the driver of 2008 Nissan Pathfinder failed to stop at a stop sign while heading north on Evans Road. The Nissan then struck a westbound 2020 Kia Fit that was turning south onto Evans Road.

Medics arrived and pronounced the unresponsive Kia driver dead at the scene. The coroner identified the deceased Kia driver as 64-year-old Jaime Beman, of Nuevo. 

Authorities are asking anyone with additional information about the hit-and-run driver to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office at 951–776–1099.
