Two Injured in Head-On Collision near Mile Marker 56

EL PASO, TX (October 30, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, two victims were hospitalized after a semi-truck accident on Interstate 10.

The accident happened on October 19th at Interstate 10 West and East.

According to the authorities, the crash involved two semi-trucks and other multiple cars. The cause of the accident wasn’t mentioned.

Responders arrived and immediately rushed two people to a nearby hospital suffering life-threatening and non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, hazmat crews cleaned up a diesel spill because of the incident. Officers forcedly closed off all lanes in the area for cleanup and preliminary investigation. However, all roads, except South Desert turnaround to North Desert at Trans Mountain for guardrail repairs, opened the next day, October 20th, around 7 a.m.

The identities and reason for the accident are unknown, however, an investigation is ongoing.
