30-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after DUI Crash near Rosedale Street

GIG HARBOR, WA (October 26, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, Alicia Perrin was killed in a motorcycle collision on State Route 16.

Authorities responded to the scene around 1:00 a.m., near Rosedale Street Northwest on October 7th.

Per reports, 54-year-old Mecca Berkins was heading west in the eastbound lanes and collided head-on with a motorcyclist. Upon impact, Perrin was pushed into the center median where she suffered serious injuries.

Medics arrived shortly after and pronounced 30-year-old Perrin, of Shelton dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics took Berkins to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Following preliminary duties, officers determined that Berkins was under the influence at the time.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
