Vehicle Crash on Charter Oak Drive Killed a Male Juvenile, Wounded Four Individuals
TEMPLE, TX (October 25, 2023) – Friday evening, a teen died in a head-on collision on Charter Oak Drive, four more people sustained injuries.
The accident happened around 7:18 p.m. on October 20th, in the 3300 block of Charter Oak Drive.
According to the authorities, a pickup truck was heading southbound while a Ford Expedition was on the northbound lane. The pickup truck drove off to the northbound lane and collided with the Ford Expedition head-on.
TPD said that the pickup truck was driven by a 17-year-old male while the Ford Expedition had one adult female driver and three passengers which were children. The police pronounced the teen deceased and then the Ford Expedition occupants were rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
No further details were available about the reason for the crash and the identities of the involved individuals remained undisclosed. However, the investigation is ongoing.
Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
