Vehicle Crash Killed 65-Year-Old Borger Resident on North Main Street
BORGER, TX (October 24, 2023) – On Sunday evening, a collision between a car and a pedestrian left Miles Jackson dead.
The incident occurred on October 1st, in the 1600 block of North Main Street near the north Borger City Limits.
According to BPD, medical personnel responded to a crash report involving a 2015 Ford Pickup and a pedestrian. The man tried to cross the lane and walked into the southbound road where a pickup was traveling.
As per the preliminary investigation, the Ford Pickup driver swerved in an attempt to avoid colliding with the pedestrian but failed.
Police identified the pedestrian as 65-year-old Miles Jackson. Rescue professionals arrived on the site and immediately started lifesaving measures but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, Ford Pickup passengers and the driver remained unharmed.
Furthermore, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the street has since been reopened to the public.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further details remains ongoing.
