18-Year-Old Woman Injured in Pedestrian Collision near Camino Ruiz
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 20, 2023) – Wednesday night, a woman was hospitalized after a pedestrian accident on Mira Mesa Boulevard.
Police responded to the scene around at the 8350 block of Mira Mesa Boulevard near Camino Ruiz.
According to reports, the driver of a 2017 Fiat Spider was heading north on Camino Ruiz and lost control and began to fishtail. The vehicle then veered back and forth before striking a woman who was at the MTS bus bench.
Responding paramedics transported the 18-year-old female pedestrian to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla with major injuries.
Aerial news footage from the scene revealed the damaged white Fiat Spider sitting along the sidewalk.
At this time, the San Diego Police Department Traffic Division is still leading the investigation.
