43-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Ocean Drive

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 20, 2023) – Late Sunday evening, a woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Tropicana Avenue.

The incident occurred just before 11:30 p.m., near Ocean Drive on October 15th.

For reasons under investigation, a 43-year-old female pedestrian from Long Beach attempted to cross against a red light on Tropicana Avenue. There, the driver of a 2023 Kia EV6 struck her.

Paramedics responded to the scene near MGM Grand and transported the severely injured victim to Sunrise Hospital where she later died.

Meanwhile, the 49-year-old female driver of the Kia remained at the scene and she cooperated with the investigators. Authorities said that the woman showed no signs of being impaired.
