Rider Dies in Motorcycle Collision on East Lake Mead Boulevard[Las Vegas, NV]
54-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after 2-Vehicle Crash near North Hollywood Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (October 20, 2023) – Wednesday evening, one rider was killed in a motorcycle collision on East Lake Mead Boulevard.
The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m., near North Hollywood Boulevard on October 11th.
Investigators say the 54-year-old rider of a motorcycle was heading east on Lake Mead while a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup-truck was heading west. The 26-year-old male driver of the pickup-truck with three passengers then made a left turn and struck the motorcyclist.
Upon impact, the rider was ejected from the motorcycle onto the road. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the rider dead.
Moreover, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Officers do not believe impairment played a factor.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
