SANTA ANA, CA (October 20, 2023) – Wednesday night, Madeline Ortiz was arrested following a hit-and-run crash on Newhope Street.
The incident occurred around 8:10 a.m., near McFadden Avenue and Fitz Intermediate Language Academy.
Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a 12-year-old girl who was standing outside of a marked crosswalk. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.
