Semi-Truck versus Pickup Collision near State Route 91 Left One Fatality

ANAHEIM, CA (October 17, 2023) – Thursday evening, a big rig crash on 57 Freeway in Anaheim took the life of one person.

The fatal accident happened around 8:30 p.m. along the northbound lanes of State Route 57, near SR-91. 

According to the report, a big rig overturned for unknown reasons and landed on the top of a Chevrolet pickup truck. 

Responding fire units from Metro Net Fire extricated three people inside the truck. However, officials declared one of the three patients dead at the scene. 

The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin. 

Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup but have since been reopened.

Additionally, police will release further updates as they become available to the public.
