17-Year-Old Girl Killed, Three Injured in Fiery Rollover Collision near Santa Rosa Creek
SANTA ROSA, CA (October 17, 2023) – Friday night, police arrested Jaden Pruett Steed after a fatal DUI crash on Montgomery Drive.
Police received reports of the incident around 10:15 p.m., at the 5100 block of Montgomery Drive in Santa Rosa.
Officers say the driver of a vehicle lost control and crashed into a creek while heading westbound. Upon impact, the vehicle also caught fire.
Nearby residents attempted to extricate the 17-year-old boy in the left rear-seat and the 19-year-old man in the front passenger seat.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, first responders declared the 17-year-old girl sitting in the rear right seat dead at the scene. At this time, her identity remains undisclosed to the public.
The driver, 21-year-old Jaden Pruett Steed of Santa Rosa, was rushed to a local hospital for minor injuries. Police also determined that Steed was intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.11%.
