Two Sisters Pronounced Dead after DUI Accident near Deer Valley Road

SURPRISE, AZ (October 17, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a DUI collision on Grand Avenue killed Bea Cueto and Althea Cueto.

First responders received dispatch calls in the area around 2:45 a.m., near Deer Valley Road on October 12th.

Emergency crews located two damaged vehicles at the scene upon arrival. According to reports, the intoxicated driver of a vehicle struck a car occupied by 19-year-old Bea and 20-year-old Althea.

Medical personnel pronounced Bea and Althea dead at the scene, due to the extent of injuries sustained.

Following preliminary duties, officers arrested the 22-year-old DUI suspect for alcohol impairment and took him into custody. At this time, lab results are still pending and an active investigation is currently underway.
