One Hospitalized following Multi Semi-Truck Accident on Interstate 10 [Tonopah, AZ]
Lanes Blocked after Multiple Semi-Trucks Collided on I-10
TONOPAH, AZ (October 16, 2023) – On Thursday morning, police responded to a semi-truck accident on Interstate 10 that hospitalized one person.
The incident happened on October 12th in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Salome Road.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, a semi-truck overturned causing it to slam into the other semi-trucks.
Furthermore, the collision resulted in multiple injuries, including one person with serious wounds. Several others sustained minor wounds only, and they were treated at the scene. The seriously injured occupant was transported to the hospital.
Consequently, the authorities blocked the eastbound lanes of the highway, but police said that it has reopened since.
No additional information was added by the investigators and an active investigation is currently underway
