25-Year-Old Los Angeles Man Killed in Rollover Crash near Pacific Coast Highway
MALIBU, CA (October 12, 2023) – Early Tuesday morning, a single-car accident along Malibu Canyon Road claimed the life of Luis Gonzalez.
According to reports, the driver of a vehicle was traveling northbound around 12:20 a.m., just a mile north of the Pacific Coast Highway.
For reasons under investigation, the driver crashed into two utility poles and went down a cliff at the embankment. Additionally, investigators said the vehicle also rolled over before hitting the pole.
Responding emergency personnel declared the driver dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the deceased driver as 25-year-old Luis Gonzalez of Los Angeles.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
