18-Year-Old Driver Dead, Multiple Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident near Freeway Overpass

TUCSON, AZ (October 9, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, police responded to a car accident that claimed the life of Isaiah Nowell Parker.

The incident happened on October 4th in the early hours along the Interstate 10 overpass involving a BMW and a Honda Accord.

According to the Tucson Police Department, the BMW was driven by 18-year-old Isaiah Nowell Parker with two passengers, and the Honda was driven by a 22-year-old man.

Furthermore, the investigation showed that Parker headed westbound on Prince Road at high speeds while the Honda headed northbound. Parker ran over a red light and collided with the Honda.

Moreover, the paramedics responded to the scene and they pronounced Parker deceased while the two passengers suffered minor injuries.

Consequently, the paramedics took them to the hospital together with the driver of the Honda. Officials shut down a large portion of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, it was unknown if Parker was racing another vehicle. Further investigation is currently underway.
