17-Year-Old Student Dies after Crashing into Overpass Pillar near Interstate 25

SANTA FE, NM (October 9, 2023) – On Tuesday afternoon, a single-vehicle crash occurred that claimed the life of Daniel Bojorquez.

The solo-car crash happened on September 26th just before 12:45 p.m. in the southbound lanes of St. Francis Drive.

Investigation showed that 17-year-old Bojorquez was driving at high speeds in the southbound lanes when he crashed into a support pillar of the Interstate 25 overpass.

Authorities have not yet released the cause of the fatal accident.

Furthermore, the authorities added that Bojorquez was the only occupant of the vehicle. Consequently, the police blocked the roadway for several hours due to the incident, but it was reopened afterward.
