Two Pronounced Dead after Head-On Accident near Northeast 160th Street
BOTHELL, WA (October 6, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a man and a woman were killed in a wrong-way collision on Interstate 405.
Police responded to the scene on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Northeast 160th Street on September 16th.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle was heading north on the southbound lanes and struck another car head-on. As a result, a 48-year-old female driver from Renton and a 32-year-old male driver from Bellevue died at the scene.
In addition, paramedics transported a 30-year-old female passenger of the southbound vehicle to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the authorities blocked the southbound lanes for several hours before it was reopened at 7:40 a.m. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
