Three Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Arrow Highway

AZUSA, CA (October 6, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, three victims were fatally struck in a multi-vehicle crash on Cerritos Avenue.

Police responded to the scene around 4:00 p.m., near Arrow Highway.

According to reports, two eastbound motorcyclists struck multiple vehicles while traveling at a high rate of speed. Amidst the chaos, one of the riders lost control and hit a pedestrian who was sitting on a nearby patch of grass.

Medics arrived and pronounced the pedestrian and one rider dead at the scene. In addition, paramedics took the other motorcyclist to a nearby hospital where they also succumbed to their injuries.

Following preliminary duties, investigators believe that speed is the primary factor in the incident. At this time, Azusa Officials also continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
