Man Pronounced Dead after Single-Car Accident near Carver Road
MODESTO, CA (October 5, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, one man was killed and another was hurt in a solo-car crash on Pelandale Avenue.
Authorities responded to the scene just after midnight at the intersection of Pelandale Avenue and Carver Road.
Per reports, the driver of an eastbound Tesla Model Y struck a light pole on the southwest corner. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the male driver from Modesto, dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics took his male passenger from Fresno to a nearby hospital for further treatment of moderate injuries.
The Modesto Fire Department closed down the roadway due to the hazardous car batteries of the Tesla. Those with further information are encouraged to contact local officers as soon as possible.
