Grandmother Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash in North Hills
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 4, 2023) – A hit-and-run collision on Burnet Avenue in North Hills claimed the life of Adriana Sanchez.
The fatal crash happened around 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of Rayen Street and Burnet Avenue near the Panorama City neighborhood.
According to the police, a vehicle hit a woman walking her two dogs in a marked crosswalk. However, the driver did not render aid to the pedestrian and fled the scene.
Responding paramedics transported the female pedestrian to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. A portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Later, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the deceased woman as 50-year-old Adriana Sanchez. Police said her two dogs ran home after the incident where one of them sustained an injury.
Authorities will release additional information about the fatal hit-and-run crash as it becomes available, no further details are available at this time.
