22-Year-Old Woman Killed in DUI Accident near Sycamore School Road
FORT WORTH, TX (September 29, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, Brianna Lopez was killed and Aaron Roberts was arrested after a DUI crash.
The incident occurred on Chisholm Trail Parkway near Sycamore School Road shortly after midnight.
According to reports, the driver of a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was heading south in the northbound lanes. As a result, the Chevy struck a 2014 Mazda CX5, driven by Lopez.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 22-year-old Lopez, of Fort Worth dead at the scene. Her family says she was on her way home from visiting a friend at the time, and she will be deeply missed by her community.
Officers later determined that the wrong-way driver was intoxicated at the time. Consequently, police arrested 32-year-old Roberts, of Cleburne for DUI and manslaughter charges. Crews eventually booked him into the Tarrant County Jail, where he is being held on a $45,000 bond.
