Suspected DUI Accident near Rushing Hill Lookout Left One Passenger Dead

TURLOCK, CA (September 28, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a single-vehicle crash on State Route 120 claimed the life of Leah Doucette.

Officers responded to the accident around 3:30 p.m. near the Rushing Hill Lookout where they discovered the wrecked vehicle. 

According to the police, a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Leah Doucette lost control on the roadway, causing the vehicle to crash and overturn off the highway. 

Subsequently, the passenger was killed in the crash, while Doucette sustained major injuries.  

Responding emergency personnel transported Doucette to a nearby hospital for further treatment, their current condition is currently unknown.  

Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for clean-up.
