Several Hurt Following Multi-Vehicle Accident near Carmel Mountain Road

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 28, 2023) – Monday evening, a multi-car accident on Interstate 15 left several injured. 

Officials responded to the incident at around 7:40 p.m., near Carmel Mountain Road in San Diego. 

Based on the initial investigation, up to 10 vehicles wrecked along the I-15, causing a large pile-up on the roadway. 

First responders reported multiple injuries, but the total amount and the extent of their injuries are currently unknown.

Meanwhile, the San Diego Police Department closed down multiple lanes of the highway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, it was unclear whether the authorities made any arrests from the incident. No further details regarding the two-vehicle crash have been released to the public.
