19-Year-Old Student Fatally Struck in DUI Collision near North Central Expressway

DALLAS, TX (September 28, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, Honor Elizabeth Wallace was killed in a red-light crash on Monticello Avenue.

Police responded to the scene around 4:20 p.m., near North Central Expressway on September 24th.

According to reports, 27-year-old Lynlee Pollis was driving a Lexus through the intersection and ran a red light. Meanwhile, Wallace was driving through a green light on northbound Central Expressway, resulting in a collision.

Paramedics arrived and transported Wallace, her female passenger and Pollis to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Due to the extent of her condition, crews later pronounced 19-year-old Wallace, of Grosse Point, Michigan dead.

Meanwhile, the other victim suffered a broken collar bone. Although, their identity has not been provided.

Following preliminary duties, Pollis later admitted to drinking and taking medication prior to the accident. As a result, officers arrested and booked Wallace into Dallas County Jail where she was held on a $100,00 bond before she was released.
