Man in Wheelchair Struck in Collision near Strathern Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 26, 2023) – Friday morning, a pedestrian crash on Lankershim Boulevard claimed the life of Peter Arata.
Officers responded to the collision around 11:00 a.m. at 7843 Lankershim Boulevard near Strathern Street.
Upon arrival, the authorities determined that a southbound vehicle hit a pedestrian crossing the street in a wheelchair. However, the circumstances that led up to the collision remain unclear.
Unfortunately, the first responders declared the victim dead at the scene. The police did not provide any description of the motorist or their vehicle.
On Saturday, the medical examiner’s office identified the deceased pedestrian as 56-year-old Peter Arata.
