Driver Sought after Fatal Pedestrian-Auto Collision Near Maple Avenue
INGLEWOOD, CA (September 26, 2023) – Early Friday morning, a hit-and-run collision on Century Boulevard took the life of a female victim.
Police responded to the fatal incident around 5:09 a.m. near Century Boulevard and Maple Avenue in the city of Inglewood.
According to the initial investigation, a vehicle hit the woman and fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Officials are now searching for a gray Dodge Challenger with tinted windows and possible front-end damage.
Responding medical personnel transported the woman to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Authorities only identified the deceased victim as a 28-year-old woman from the Lennox community in the South Bay area.
Moreover, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
