Man Dies in Head-On Accident on O’Connor Road [San Antonio, TX]
Man Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision near Interstate 35
SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 26, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, one man was fatally struck in a head-on accident on O’Connor Road.
Police received dispatch calls in the area shortly before 2:30 a.m., near Interstate 35 and Wurzbach Parkway.
According to reports, one driver crossed the double yellow lines into oncoming traffic and struck a truck head-on. The initial impact led to a chain-reaction collision involving three vehicles.
First responders located the involved truck rolled over in a ditch upon arrival. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced a male occupant inside the truck dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics took two passengers inside the wrong-way vehicle to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Following preliminary duties, officers arrested the driver of the truck for DWI after conducting a field sobriety test.
