DUI Suspected Car Crash on Closner Boulevard Left 26-year-old Woman Dead
EDINBURG, TX (September 26, 2023) – Adrienne Ann Garza died after a suspected DUI collision at Trenton Road on Saturday early morning.
The fatal crash happened at 2:09 a.m. on September 9th, at the intersection of Trenton Road and Closner Boulevard.
According to the authorities, police responders arrived at the scene involving a white Chevrolet Silverado and a white BMW. The Chevrolet Silverado ignored the red light at the intersection and then crashed into the passenger side of BMW.
The BMW driver, identified as Adrienne Ann Garza, is transported to DHR Health and pronounced dead. Garza’s passenger is also transmitted to the hospital, but police have not released any information regarding his identity and condition.
Meanwhile, Chevrolet Silverado’s 27-year-old driver is identified as Juan Pablo Torres and suspected to be driving under the influence.
In addition, Toress is charged with intoxication manslaughter, intoxication assault, and unlawful carrying of a weapon; his bond was set at $1 million, reporters said.
At this time, an active investigation remains ongoing. Once available, more information will be released.
