Gregorio Arreaga Dead after Vehicle Collision on Sweetwater Road [National City, CA]

49-Year-Old Male Driver Succumbed to Injuries after a Deadly Vehicle Accident
NATIONAL CITY, CA (September 22, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a collision in a park-and-ride lot claimed the life of Gregorio Arreaga.
The incident happened on September 17th, just before 5:00 p.m., in the 2300 block of Sweetwater Road.
According to reports, 49-year-old Gregorio Arreaga was standing in the bed of a pickup truck parked at a commuter parking lot when the truck was struck by another vehicle. The impact of the collision caused Arreaga to be ejected from the truck bed and he landed in the parking lot under another parked vehicle.
Emergency crews responded to the site of the accident shortly after. They transported Arreaga to Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment.
At the hospital, Arreaga’s condition got worse until he succumbed to his injuries. Officials pronounced him dead on Tuesday, September 19th, at about 7:45 a.m.
