SUV Versus Scooter Collision Near Poker Lane Kills 14-Year-Old Boy

ANTELOPE, CA (September 21, 2023) – Monday night, a scooter accident involving an SUV on Don Julio Boulevard took the life of Nathan Daniel Gebreamlak.

According to CHP, the collision happened around 10:30 p.m. on the east sidewalk of Don Julio, just north of Poker Lane. 

Investigators claimed that the teenage boy on a scooter entered the intersection of Poker Lane and rode outside the crosswalk. 

The boy then went directly into the path of a Range Rover SUV driven by a 50-year-old man, resulting in a collision. CHP pointed out that the SUV had a green light at the time of the crash.

Eventually, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the boy to Mercy San Juan Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Later, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased teen as 14-year-old Nathan Daniel Gebreamlak of Sacramento. 

Antelope Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal scooter accident.
