One Pronounced Dead, One Hospitalized after Single-Vehicle Crash near Leeville

EUREKA COUNTY, NV (September 21, 2023) – Sunday, one victim was killed and another was hurt in a rollover collision at Nevada Gold Mines.

Around 1:50 a.m., police responded to the scene at the gold mines in between Leeville and Gold Strike.

For reasons under investigation, a Tona Tec Exploration truck lost control and rollover over as it traveled down a hill. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the driver dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics took the passenger to Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital for further treatment. At this time, authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal rollover collision at Nevada Gold Mines.
