Two Hospitalized after Head-On Collision on Highway 105 [Orange, TX]
Two Vehicles Collided Head-On near Highway 105 Injuring Two
ORANGE, TX (September 20, 2023) – On Sunday afternoon, two people were injured following a head-on collision near the 7800 block of Highway 105.
The collision occurred around 3:00 p.m., September 3rd, involving a Volkswagen Passat and a GMC pickup.
Investigation showed that the Volkswagen headed westbound and the GMC pickup was traveling eastbound.
Furthermore, the Volkswagen turned into a curve and veered on the wrong side causing a head-on collision with the GMC, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
Consequently, the first responders took the driver of the Volkswagen to St. Elizabeth Hospital while the driver of the GMC was airlifted to Memorial Hermann with serious wounds.
Meanwhile, the authorities blocked all lanes of the highway while they conducted cleanup duties and additional investigation. The roadway has since been reopened.
No additional details were released by the authorities and an update will be made once information is available.
