Head-On Collision near Doctor Scott Drive Resulted in One Fatality
AUSTIN, TX (September 20, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, police responded to a fatal accident on East State Highway 71.
The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m., September 2nd, in the eastbound lanes near Doctor Scott Drive involving two vehicles that collided head-on.
According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, they arrived at the scene and found out person unconscious, they later pronounced the person dead.
Furthermore, the paramedics transported one injured person to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, crews were dispatched to clear out the location. Also, the roadway was blocked during the duration of the cleanup but has since been reopened to the public.
