Knowledge Schuster Killed in Red-Light Hit-and-Run Crash on Cheyenne Avenue [Las Vegas, NV]
1-Year-Old Child Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Collision near Interstate 15
LAS VEGAS, NV (September 20, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, Knowledge Schuster was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Cheyenne Avenue.
Police responded to the scene around 4:20 p.m., near Interstate 15 on September 5th shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
Officers say the driver of a silver SUV ran a red light at the intersection while trying to make a left turn onto the freeway. There, the SUV struck a vehicle occupied by 1-year-old Schuster.
Upon impact, the SUV driver continued heading east on Cheyenne Avenue without rendering aid or calling for help.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the 1-year-old girl dead.
The family of Schuster created a GoFundMe page to help with costs during this time.
