48-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Bowen Avenue

MODESTO, CA (September 19, 2023) – Sunday evening, one woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on McHenry Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene around 9:30 p.m., near Bowen Avenue.

Per reports, the driver of a southbound Saturn sedan struck a woman who was crossing the road within a crosswalk. Responding medical personnel declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.

At this time, authorities have only described the deceased victim as a 48-year-old woman. 

Meanwhile, the 17-year-old driver of the Saturn remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
