Collision Between a Motorcycle and a Vehicle Resulted in Two Injuries

PHOENIX, AZ (September 19, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, officers were dispatched to the area of 35th Avenue and Cactus Road.

On September 09, at around 1:00 a.m., a collision between a truck and a motorcycle occurred in the area which resulted in two people being injured.

Furthermore, the motorcyclist was occupied by a man and a woman, and they were riding in the area when a truck turned left and ended in front of them.

Consequently, the paramedics responded to the scene and transported the two occupants of the motorcycle to the hospital with serious injuries.

Moreover, the driver did not run away from the scene, he cooperated with the authorities. The driver showed no signs of being impaired.

Meanwhile, the officers blocked the roadway for clearing duties but it was later reopened by 6:30 a.m. The incident is still under active investigation.

Motorcyclists rarely escape injury when an accident occurs. It is important to never underestimate the bike’s speed when you’re riding a motorcycle. Additionally, strictly follow traffic laws and the conditions of the road. For other drivers, do not tailgate a motorcyclist and maintain a safe following distance. Give motorcyclists a full traffic lane when you pass, as they too have equal rights on the road.
