22-Year-Old Man Dies after Colliding with a Minivan
KENT, WA (September 19, 2023) – On Monday evening, one person died following a two-vehicle collision on Canyon Drive.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m., August 28th, at Weiland Street involving a blue minivan and a gold sedan.
According to the Kent Police Department, a 22-year-old man was driving the gold sedan when it traveled at high speed and collided with the minivan.
Furthermore, the impact of the collision sent the sedan to a wooden area while the minivan blocked the roadway.
Consequently, first responders arrived at the location and extricated two trapped occupants of the sedan.
Moreover, they immediately extricated both occupants and performed life-saving measures. Despite receiving treatment, the 22-year-old man succumbed to his injuries and died.
Meanwhile, the paramedics transported both the driver of the minivan and the other occupant of the sedan to the hospital for treatment.
Following the events, police said that speed from the sedan was a factor in the incident.
At this time, the identity of the deceased was not yet released by the authorities.
