Man Killed in Skateboard Accident on 1st Street [Gilroy, CA]
34-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Skateboard Collision near Wren Avenue
GILROY, CA (September 19, 2023) – Saturday evening, one man was killed in a skateboard accident on First Street.
Police responded to the scene around 9:00 p.m., near Wren and Kern Avenue.
According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a man who was riding an electric skateboard in the area. Upon arrival, officers located the man suffering from serious injuries.
Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel pronounced the 34-year-old man dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
No further details regarding the skateboard accident have been released to the public. Gilroy Officials will disclose the deceased person’s identity once the next of kin has been notified.
